Coming up with a recipe for natural lip balm was just one of the challenges faced by a group of Kingsway College students.
As part of the Young Enterprise business programme, the group decided on the lip balm as their product, and did everything from scratch including making it themselves. It helped that one of the students had a family member with a background in cosmetics but weeks of trial and error were still required.
The team, with the company name Wilkinson Fisher, then labelled and packaged the product ready for sale.
Wilkinson Fisher ‘chief executive’, Hugo Lasseter-Moore, says the ingredients are 100 percent natural and include various oils, beeswax and tapioca starch.
