Andy Ellis is probably better known as an All Black but he is also an award-winning landscape designer. He won a supreme Award at the Ellerslie Flower Show and a gold at the prestigious Singapore Garden Festival. Andy’s book features a wide range of Kiwi backyards, many of them the gardens of well-known New Zealanders. There are one or two gardens featured in each chapter and lots of information and pictures to help get the ideas flowing. Themes include the inner-city sanctuary, the native haven, the Kiwi kid’s playground and the entertainer’s utopia. There is something for everyone within these pages. Andy includes pointers for garden designs,  planting lists for different themes and   practical ideas and plans for creating your ideal backyard.
