Mahurangi East Volunteer Fire Brigade is still on the scene of a house fire on Rangimaarie Crescent in Snells Beach.
Four appliances attended from Mahurangi East, Warkworth, Leigh, and Matakana stations.
Fire and Emergency says about 60 per cent of the house has been damaged with significant damage to the roof.
No one was at home when the fire started and the cause has not been established.
The fire service was first alerted to the fire at 10.37am and appliances were on site by 11am.
Rangimaarie Crescent was closed to vehicles.
