by Gerard Zwier
Matakana author Gerard Zwier has written a book that spans various disciplines such as psychology, physics, biology, philosophy and ethology (the scientific study of animal behaviour ) to mention a few. Zwier thinks the traditional model of how the universe came about has some serious gaps that most scientists ignore. That awareness and knowledge are not just the prerogative of human beings, but of all beings. A deeper understanding of how early life forms coped with their primeval environment leads seamlessly to a greater appreciation of life. Consistent with this perspective is the emphasis on the ethical treatment of all living beings, emphasising the value, rights and survival of individual organic beings.
