The Rotary Satellite Club of Orewa-Millwater ran a hugely successful fundraising event on September 2 and the proceeds of $7500 went to Hibiscus Hospice.
The Greek Extravaganza at Rotary House in Silverdale featured authentic Greek food, wine, music and dancing. Over 100 guests attended.
Hospice fundraising manager Claire Bridle thanked the club and said hospice was “blown away” to receive so much from the Coast’s newest Rotary Club.
Principal organiser of the event, Rotarian Theo Simeonidis, said an even bigger event is already being planned for next year, aiming to accommodate up to 250 guests.
